This LINE Hotel wedding goes back a little further in the blog queue, but it is one I still think about often. Kate and Rob are two of my favorite people I have had the honor of photographing. They are the sweetest, most genuine couple, and that warmth came through in every frame of their day. You truly could not ask for a more adorable pair if you tried.

Kate and Rob’s wedding at The LINE Austin brought together everything I love about photographing in downtown Austin. Set along Lady Bird Lake, the hotel offers a rare blend of city sophistication and easy Texas warmth. The design embraced a soft yellow palette layered with vibrant pops of color throughout the florals and reception details. Every part of the celebration felt bright, joyful, and completely true to them.

From the moment the reception doors opened, it was clear that no detail had been overlooked. A custom dance floor adorned with flowers and butterflies anchored the room, creating a playful and beautiful focal point for the evening. Instead of a traditional DJ, a live band filled the space with soulful covers and upbeat favorites, keeping guests on their feet from the very first song.

The energy continued to build throughout the night. The music was loud, drinks were in hand, and no one wanted to miss a second of the celebration. It was the kind of momentum that only comes from live musicians reading the room in real time. Kate and Rob’s reception brought the kind of energy every dance floor dreams of, and as their photographer, I did not want to miss a single second either.

Kate and Rob, I am so glad this wedding finally made its way to the blog. Looking through these images still makes me smile, and I have a feeling I will be pulling up that butterfly dance floor photo for years to come.
