Rachel and Jamie’s Camp Lucy wedding was one of those days that stays with you. Set deep in the Texas Hill Country, the venue’s rolling grounds, mature oak trees and stone architecture gave the entire celebration a sense of quiet romance.

The ceremony beneath the Sacred Oaks quietly undid everyone there. Rachel walked down the aisle as Jamie stood waiting with the biggest smile. Their guests had traveled from across Texas and beyond to celebrate with them, and you could feel how deeply these two were loved. By the time Rachel and Jamie exchanged vows, there was hardly a dry eye, including behind my camera.

After the ceremony, we slipped away to catch the final glow of golden hour. Camp Lucy’s rolling hills and rustic fences became the perfect backdrop, while the soft, dusty greens of the surrounding landscape brought even more warmth to every frame. It remains one of my favorite parts of the day.

Back at the reception, the timber-framed Great Hall set the tone for the evening. Its soaring wooden beams and stone columns framed the room beautifully. A long feasting table stretched through the center, lined with pearl-beaded chargers, flickering candlelight and a lush garland of peach, orange and cream wildflowers.

Partway through the celebration, Rachel changed into a second dress. From there, she and Jamie danced the rest of the night away without a worry in the world.

Rachel and Jamie are genuinely kind people, and their warmth comes through in every image. I photographed portions of their wedding on film, and its softness captured the feeling of the day beautifully.
